The Wise River Club is located in the heart of the Big Hole Valley in Wise River, Montana. Built in 1896, its rustic charm offers a welcome retreat from the pace of life in the 21st century. No stop lights, no traffic, no Starbucks or Nordstroms . . . Our rush hour traffic is a local cattle drive through town. A small town, we are proud of our history in the wild, wild west. Activities include spectacular trout fishing, river rafting, hunting, horsebackriding, hiking, bicycling, snowmobiling and skiing. We are a full-service provider (restaurant, bar, lodging, RV sites, laundromat). The Wise River Club is a community partner with many prestigious outfitters in the community.
For two decades a large bull elk lived across the street from the WRC in what was once a small zoo. Over the years many people would come to see the grand elk. Annually he would shed his large rack and it would be added with honor among the prior years shed adorning the ceiling in the bar. His antlers remain in the bar today.
